Prayers for Springfield MA following yesterday’s deadly tornado…
Posted by Nikki Devaux on Jun 2, 2011 in Blog, Sellers, Town Info | 2 commentsToday I’m taking a step back from my typical real estate blog posts, and want us all to take a moment and say a prayer for the town of Springfield MA along with surrounding towns that were deeply affected by yesterday’s devastating tornado. Here in Massachusetts, we don’t often experience tornadoes…..snowstorms feel like nothing compared to what our western MA neighbors dealt with yesterday.
The last time Massachusetts was hit with a devestating tornado was in Worcester MA on June 9th, 1953
Yesterday’s tornado killed 4 people and damaged homes, businesses, cars and affected many communities.
Here’s a video courtesy of our local TV station, WHDH, showing the tornado damage in Springfield. I hope we can all take a moment today to say a prayer for those who’ve passed, both here in Massachusetts and in other parts of the country.
